Web designer and writer
2020 to 2025 | Washington State Department of Ecology
As a web content manager at the Department of Ecology, I am responsible for creating user-friendly webpages for a wide audience. Here are examples of pages I have created.
Toxic-Free Cosmetics Act (TFCA)
TFCA is a law that impacts manufacturers and businesses across the world. This webpage is:
One of Ecology’s top visited webpages: 57,000 views in 2024, and it continues to garner thousands of visits a month.
Designed for manufacturers, consumers, and businesses who need to learn how to comply with this law.
Responding to climate change
Tasked with designing and writing our agency’s story about how all of our programs are working to tackle climate change, I created this page using the top headings related to climate change, and choosing select programs that are having the biggest impact on climate change.
This webpage was created in response to a request from the Governor.
PFAS
With wide-spread consumer interest and concerns about this chemical, this webpage gets a lot of traffic. It serves to tell people what the chemical is, the health impacts, what we’re doing about this chemical, and how people can protect themselves.
This webpage is designed to divert traffic to a number of other resources and webpages depending on the person’s interest.
